Call on the Name of YAHUAH: Let Your Life Answer the Name You Speak

Black Abary family studies Scripture together as a mother teaches the Name of YAHUAH to her children.

We call upon YAHUAH. We proclaim YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach. We teach our children to know whom they are addressing when they palal. This matters. The Name of YAHUAH is not a detail to discard when the Scriptures declare it His memorial to every generation.

But we must also examine what happens after the Name leaves our mouths. If I speak it boldly in public and resist His instruction in private, what testimony am I giving? If I learn the Name and use that knowledge to humiliate a person who is still learning, whose character am I showing them?

The call is to know YAHUAH, trust Him, and walk before Him in truth. Restoration of His Name must reach the life bearing it.

YAHUAH Declared His Name to Be Remembered

When YAHUAH sent Mashah to the children of Yashar’Al, He did not present Himself as an unnamed force. After identifying Himself as the Aluah of their fathers, He said:

“This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”
— Shamuth (Exodus) 3:15, KJV excerpt

His Name belongs in our remembrance, teaching, and palal. Yu’Al (Joel) 2:32 calls people to call upon the Name of YAHUAH for deliverance. We do not need to pretend that a title carries the same weight as a personal Name. We can teach the Name plainly, search the Scriptures, and pass this knowledge to our children with care.

Yet knowing how to say the Name is the beginning of responsibility, not the completion of it.

Knowing His Name Must Become Trust

“And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee.”
— Tehillim (Psalm) 9:10, KJV excerpt

The passage joins knowledge to trust. A person may win an argument about names while continuing to live in fear, deceit, pride, or secret rebellion. They may use restored words and still refuse the path YAHUAH commands. That contradiction requires tashubah.

YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach manifested the Father’s Name to the people given to Him (Yahuchanun [John] 17:6). When His emissaries stood before rulers, they testified that deliverance was found in Him:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
— Acts 4:12, KJV

The Name directs us to a Person and His authority. It is no substitute for surrender. 2 Timotheus (2 Timothy) 2:19 calls everyone who names the Mashiach to depart from iniquity. That is where the confession becomes visible: in what we forsake, how we treat people, and whether we obey when no audience is present.

Teach Those Who Are Learning Without Pronouncing a Curse Over Them

Some people are hearing the restored Names for the first time. A sincere person may have sought YAHUAH with the understanding they had while others withheld or obscured what they were never taught. Our task is to open Scripture and teach truth. Scripture gives us no warrant to declare that every earlier palal from such a person was automatically a curse or an abomination simply because they had not yet learned to say YAHUAH.

That does not mean we stay silent about His Name. It means our instruction must be both truthful and righteous. We can say, “Here is what YAHUAH declared; let us read it together.” We can testify to YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach without turning our knowledge into a weapon against the one we were called to teach.

And once we have received more light, we are responsible for what we do with it. Tashubah does not end with changing a word on the tongue while leaving the heart untouched.

Watch the Teaching

Is Praying in the “Wrong Name” a Curse and an Abomination? from the official Natsarym of YAHUSHA channel examines the claim that every palal offered before someone learns the restored Name is automatically condemned. Watch it alongside the Scriptures above as you consider how to teach the Name without placing a burden YAHUAH did not place.

The Witness of Sirach

Sirach, an Apocrypha witness, joins praise of the Name with the life of the covenant people:

“And the elect shall praise his holy name. Beside this he gave them knowledge, and the law of life for an heritage.”
— Sirach 17:10–11, KJV Apocrypha

The witness does not leave the Name isolated from knowledge and the way of life. We praise YAHUAH and receive His instruction. Let our restored speech lead us into restored conduct.

Examine What Your Confession Produces

When you say YAHUAH’s Name, do you draw near with a heart ready to hear and do? When you speak of YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach, do you submit to His commands or use His authority to strengthen your own? Have you corrected another person with patience, Scripture, and humility—or with contempt? Is there one act of obedience you have delayed while defending your vocabulary?

Start there. Read Shamuth 3:15 and Tehillim 9:10 in context. Palal to YAHUAH by Name. Teach a member of your household what the passage says. Then obey the instruction already before you. Tell the truth you hid. Repair the harm you caused. Leave the sin you have defended. Let the Ruach Ha’Qudash produce fruit that agrees with the Name you proclaim.

We need the restored Name in our homes, our assemblies, and our mouths. We also need lives that bear witness to the One we call. Let this generation be known for both.

YAHUAH, our Aluah, thank You for making Yourself known. Teach us to call upon You with reverence and to trust You with obedient hearts. Forgive the pride that has used knowledge to wound others, and the rebellion that has spoken Your Name while refusing Your ways. Give us patience to teach those who are learning and courage to make tashubah where our conduct has contradicted our confession. By Your Ruach Ha’Qudash, establish Your truth and set-apartness in our homes, in the name and authority of YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach, Aman,
