Deliverance Is Not Permission to Return: Guard the Freedom YAHUSHA Gave You
Many people want the chain broken, but they do not want the door closed.
They want relief from torment, but they still protect the relationship that feeds it. They want freedom from addiction, but they keep the number, the bottle, the account, the secret device, or the hidden provision. They want their minds cleansed, but they continue consuming the same corrupt images and conversations. They want YAHUAH to remove the bondage while refusing to remove the agreement.
That is not how freedom is guarded.
Deliverance is not permission to return to the place from which YAHUAH brought you out. Freedom through YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach is real, but freedom must be occupied by obedience, protected by truth, and maintained through a life that remains submitted to YAHUAH.
If the old door remains available, the old pattern will continue knocking.
Deliverance Is an Exit, Not the End of the Journey
YAHUSHA does not merely make bondage more manageable. He makes people free.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
— Yahuchanun (John) 8:36
Freedom is not imaginary. It is not religious language placed over an unchanged life. When YAHUSHA breaks a chain, the authority of that bondage is confronted. Yet the person who has been delivered must now learn to walk as one who is free.
Yashar’Al came out of Mitsrayim in one night, but Mitsrayim did not come out of their thinking in one night. Their bodies crossed the sea, yet their appetites, fears, complaints, and slave-minded attachments repeatedly pulled their hearts backward.
“And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Mitsrayim, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.”

They remembered what bondage fed them while forgetting what bondage did to them.
That same deception still operates. Once the pain of captivity becomes distant, the flesh edits the memory. It remembers the pleasure but removes the torment. It remembers the attention but removes the manipulation. It remembers the intoxication but removes the shame. It remembers the temporary escape but removes the years that were stolen.
Do not let nostalgia rewrite the testimony of your deliverance.
An Empty House Is Still Vulnerable
YAHUSHA gave a severe warning about freedom that is not filled.
“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

The house was swept, but it was unoccupied. Something had left, but righteous government had not taken its place.
This is where many people become vulnerable. They stop using the substance but do not heal the wound beneath the craving. They end the corrupt relationship but never confront the fear of being alone. They remove forbidden objects but continue entertaining rebellion. They stop one outward behavior while leaving the imagination, appetite, resentment, and agreement untouched.
The unclean thing must leave, but the house must also be filled.
Fill the house with the Word. Fill it with palal. Fill it with truth spoken aloud. Fill it with righteous labor, clean relationships, accountability, order, sleep, nourishment, service, and worship. Let the Ruach Ha’Qudash govern the spaces that confusion once occupied.
Deliverance without discipleship leaves a swept house waiting for another occupant.

Stop Calling an Open Door a Struggle
There is a difference between being tempted and making provision.
Temptation can knock without your permission. Provision sets a place at the table.
If you know a person repeatedly pulls you into sin, why is private access still available? If a certain app becomes the road back to sexual corruption, rage, covetousness, or endless distraction, why is it still protected? If money in your hand becomes gambling, intoxication, or secret spending, why are there no boundaries around it? If loneliness repeatedly sends you back to an abusive relationship, why have you refused wise accountability?
Some doors remain open because part of the naphash still wants what YAHUAH commanded it to leave.
This is where tashubah must become practical. Tashubah does not merely say, “I am sorry.” Tashubah turns, removes, confesses, restores, blocks, deletes, ends, returns, and obeys.
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto YAHUAH, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto YAHUAH. For sin shall not have dominion over you.”

Freedom does not mean temptation will never speak again. Freedom means temptation no longer has the right to rule—and you no longer have to yield.
The Door Must Be Closed in the Mind
External boundaries matter, but bondage also builds pathways in the mind. A person can leave a room while continuing to rehearse it inwardly. The body may be absent while the imagination keeps returning.
That is why renewed thinking is part of deliverance.
“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after YAHUAH is created in righteousness and true set-apartness.”
— Ephesious (Ephesians) 4:22–24
Notice the order: put off, be renewed, and put on.
You cannot only put off the old. You must put on what is righteous. Replace corrupt meditation with Scripture. Replace secret fantasy with truth. Replace isolation with accountable fellowship. Replace idle hours with work that carries purpose. Replace self-hatred with the identity YAHUAH establishes through YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach.
The old mind says, “This is who I have always been.”
The renewed mind answers, “Sin is no longer my master.”
The old mind says, “I need this to survive.”
The renewed mind answers, “YAHUAH is my provision, and He has given me a way of escape.”
The old mind says, “One more time will not matter.”
The renewed mind remembers that every return strengthens the path back to captivity.
The Apocrypha Witness: Do Not Stand Near What Bites
Sirach speaks with the same urgency:
“Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent: for if thou comest too near it, it will bite thee: the teeth thereof are as the teeth of a lion, slaying the souls of men.”
— Sirach 21:2 (Apocrypha)
The instruction is not to study how close you can stand. It is to flee.
Set-apartness does not negotiate with the serpent. It does not keep sin close enough to revisit while claiming victory over it. Wisdom creates distance because wisdom understands appetite, weakness, timing, and consequence.
If it bites every time you draw near, stop calling nearness maturity.
Spiritual Warfare Requires Submission
Some people try to rebuke what they continue feeding. They palal loudly against a bondage while privately sustaining the agreement that gives it access.
The Canon gives the order plainly:
“Submit yourselves therefore to YAHUAH. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to YAHUAH, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
— Ya’aqub (James) 4:7–8
Submission comes before resistance.
You cannot resist your way around obedience. You cannot shout your way around confession. You cannot fast your way around ending the relationship YAHUAH told you to leave. You cannot palal your way around removing access. You cannot demand deliverance while defending double-mindedness.
The adversary is resisted when agreement with him is broken and submission to YAHUAH becomes visible.
If You Fell, Do Not Build a House in the Mud
This teaching is direct, but it is not written to crush the person who stumbled.
A fall is serious, but it does not have to become a permanent return. The enemy wants shame to turn one failure into renewed captivity. He whispers, “You already ruined everything, so you may as well remain here.” That is a lie.
Make tashubah quickly. Tell the truth. Remove the renewed access. Call the person who holds you accountable. Return to palal. Return to the Word. Return to righteous order. Do not spend seven days hiding what must be brought into the light today.
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
— Mashaly (Proverbs) 24:16
Rising is not pretending the fall did not happen. Rising is allowing the fall to expose what remained unguarded, then strengthening that place through truth and obedience.
The mercy of YAHUAH is not permission to become careless. His mercy gives space to make tashubah and walk uprightly again.
Examine What You Have Left Unguarded
Do not examine another person while avoiding your own door. Ask yourself before YAHUAH:
What did YAHUAH deliver me from that I have begun romanticizing?
Which person, place, device, account, substance, conversation, or habit still gives the old bondage access?
Have I confused feeling better with being spiritually established?
What righteous practice should be occupying the space that bondage once filled?
Who knows the truth about my vulnerable places and has permission to correct me?
When temptation comes, do I flee immediately or begin negotiating?
Have I been using shame as an excuse to hide instead of making tashubah?
Sit with the answers. Do not rush past conviction. The Ruach Ha’Qudash exposes to restore, not to entertain.
Guard Your Freedom Every Day
Freedom is guarded in ordinary decisions long before a public crisis appears.
Guard the first thought. Guard the private conversation. Guard the late-night hour. Guard what enters the Bayt. Guard the phone. Guard access to money. Guard the atmosphere around your children. Guard the wound that still seeks false comfort. Guard the company that laughs at what YAHUAH calls sin.
Then fill your life with what is righteous.
Begin the day with submission before distraction. Keep Scripture near enough to use, not merely display. Palal before pressure rises. Eat, sleep, work, and rest with order. Maintain clean fellowship. Serve someone. Confess quickly. Forgive without reopening unsafe doors. Make no secret provision for the former life.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
— Galatiym (Galatians) 5:1
You do not have to return.
The door can close. The agreement can break. The mind can be renewed. The Bayt can be filled with the presence and order of YAHUAH. The person who once lived as a captive can learn to stand, walk, work, speak, and choose as one made free through YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach.
Do not worship the testimony of yesterday while neglecting the obedience required today.
Guard what YAHUAH brought you out to become.
Closing Palal
YAHUAH, search every place in us that still longs for what You commanded us to leave. Expose every hidden agreement, protected access point, corrupt appetite, dishonest memory, and unguarded door.
Forgive us for asking You to break chains that we continued touching. Forgive us for calling provision a struggle, passivity peace, and repeated compromise weakness. Bring us into complete tashubah.
By the Ruach Ha’Qudash, renew our minds, strengthen our boundaries, and fill every empty place with truth, order, purpose, and set-apartness. Teach us to flee what bites, resist what tempts, confess when we fall, and rise without returning to shame.
Place trustworthy people around those who have been isolated. Heal the wounds that made bondage feel like comfort. Restore clear judgment, disciplined appetites, clean homes, and steadfast obedience. Let no former master reclaim what YAHUSHA has made free.
We submit ourselves again to You and ask for strength to guard the freedom You have given us, in the name and authority of YAHUSHA Ha’Mashiach, Aman.
